Making dental care fun and comfortable can create a lifetime of good oral health habits. Our office atmosphere is inspired by children and filled with bright colors, a play yard, video games, their favorite TV programs, and kid-sized equipment.

 

Before Your First Visit

  • Please take a moment to review your insurance and verify your child’s enrollment or eligibility. Please bring your card to all dental appointments, your card may be different from your medical insurance card.
  • Please visit Online Patient Forms and follow the instructions to complete your child’s health history forms before your visit. If you do not have time, please arrive 15 minutes early to complete.
  • Please have a parent or legal guardian attend the first appointment for your child.
  • Please, if you need to reschedule your appointment, please call us at least 48 business hours in advance so we can offer that time to another patient.

 

YOUR FIRST VISIT

In most cases, the initial appointment will be for examination only. Depending on the age of your child, a cleaning, fluoride treatment, and x-rays may also be done. If dental treatment is necessary, a treatment plan will be discussed with you. No Restorative Work Will Be Done At The First Appointment.

Upon your arrival, you will see that our offices are child-centered, child-focused, and you will notice the attention to detail we have put forth to ensure that your child will have a positive experience. We work to create a trusting environment focused on children to build the foundation necessary for a child to confidently grow and develop so as to prevent the stigma and anxiety so prevalent in many adults about dental appointments. Our practice culture and philosophy allows us to work directly with your child and allow them to develop a great sense of accomplishment and pride towards their individual growth. Although we do not have parents back during the child’s dental appointment, all parents are welcome to visit, tour, and observe the approach we take in delivering your child’s dental care. We ask that during your child’s dental visit you respect our principle tenant of care with your child and remain in the reception area. You are always welcome to visit prior to or after your child’s visit to learn more about our approach. You will observe that our team will explain all procedures and answer any questions your child may have during their appointments. We are specially trained to give children our attention at their appropriate level of development. As a result, most children are more calm, comfortable, and develop a great deal of confidence during examinations and procedures.

If at any point you have questions or concerns regarding our methods, please do not hesitate to ask.

You are always welcome to stop by prior to your child’s first visit to take a tour and watch us work with other children. You’ll see why kids love our office and parents trust us to deliver the “best care” to their children.

Notice to Medicaid Insurance
There will be a $50.00 fee for our Best Care Caries Management Risk Assessment along with any co-pay’s required by your insurance. The $50.00 Best Care fee is a one-time non-covered service fee as defined by Medicaid due at your first appointment.
The Best Care Program is a risk assessment to see how susceptible a child will be for early child tooth decay. The program includes an assessment, consultation, and personalized educational materials to take home with you.
If you need to reschedule your appointment, please call us at least 48 business hours in advance. Should you miss two appointments without notification, we will ask you to seek care from another dentist, who may be able to accommodate your scheduling conflicts.
