Hello, my name is Dr. Anna Kramer and I am so excited to become a part of the First Impressions team!
I was technically born in Norfolk, Virginia; my father was stationed there with the United States Navy. However, when I was only a few weeks old I moved to Waukesha, Wisconsin where my mother, grandmother and grandfather helped raise me until my father was done serving in the military. I truly understand the saying, “it takes a village” when raising a family!
I went to college at Concordia University, St. Paul where I played soccer and obtained my Bachelor of Science in Biology. While in college, I also worked as a chemistry and biology lab assistant and spent my summers working the concession stand at a local pool (best summer job ever!). I fell in love with dentistry for many reasons, however the mix of science, artistry, and the ability to build relationships with patients solidified this career choice for me.
After college, I went on to receive my Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) and Certificate in Public Health from A.T. Still University, Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health. I graduated with honors and awards in pediatric and periodontal dentistry. I then completed my pediatric dental residency at the University of Iowa where I also served as chief resident. While in residency, I received extensive training working with children and adults with special healthcare needs. I am very passionate about treating all patients the way I would want myself or my family to be treated.
My husband, Jared – who is a Wausau native – and I are very excited to move back to central Wisconsin. I cherish my role as a dentist, educator, resource, and patient advocate. I look forward to becoming a part of the community! Outside of dentistry, I enjoy working out, baking (specifically cookies) and spending time with family and friends.
I am an active member of the following professional organizations:
